How do I join 2 video files together?

Can anyone help me to join 2 video files files together so I can burn them as 1 film onto a dvd.
I am using Nero vision but it puts the 2 files as seperate files .
I have tried a couple of programs off the net to join them together but they didn't work.

Microsoft's mover maker 2(that is part of winXP) should be able to do it

There are lots of specific joiner programs out there that do this.I have a couple that will join .avi's together , there is a demo program that will only allow you to join upto 5 together , the full proggy will allow more .If you use any editing program ........pinnacle/serif movie 4 etc . these will add them together for you .
