Wife has a 1.8 Fiesta Flight< I think as dont really know anyway on insuring it with a new company they say that it is a TDI and to be honest never really bothered to look into it ..

Anyway to cut a long story short looked under the bonnet at the engine and it has a block with DI on it then at the back a manifold at the back of the block with Turbo stamped on it ... now thing is unlike my Audi tdi when ever I have driven her car it doesnt have a kick in it to suggest that the turbo has kicked in.. in addtion there is no rev counter in her car all she has is the speed and fuel indicator . so question is how do I know its working or should I say is there a test that can be performed re the above.

the car is a 51 plate by the way

Well thanks for the varying prospectives peeps.. Guess the bottom line is it dont matter if its a tdi or td as it as a snail would beat it in acceleration. Wife is not bothered just wanted a more or less definative answer which is according to Ford TDI < bloomin cheek if you ask me saying Turbo Diesel I actualy asked them so how do you know if the turbo works _ there answer " well you dont as the turbo is to assist the engine not actualy produce any extra power or torque" ? like WTF

Anyway ill stick to my car and she can have hers .. Thanks once again for your replies ... on another note if you go to parkers and DVLA and say put my reg in one has it as a Quatro TDI and one has it as a TDI.... in respect of the above why cant there be just a standard site by the DVLA which actually gives a definative description ?

:)
