I have a friend who is in student accomodation, he has a BE Unlimited BB service, ie 24Mbps, attached to this there are 22 laptops/Desktops, mostly via wireless, but a few wired.
He is using the supplied wireless router, a Thompson Speedtouch 716g, the documentation for it can be found:
https://www.bethere.co.uk/equipmentFAQ.do
And
https://www.bethere.co.uk/dataSheet.do
He wishes to limit the badwidth that each person can use, ie to stop P2P use mostly or only allow it overnight, how could he do this by either using the features within the router, ie by IP filtering via the Firewall, ALGs (Application Level Gateways), by so 3rd party software, or by some other method?
Many thanks for your suggestions.
