How do I make my Eclipse as quiet as possible?

I just got an eclipse no vibrations but im still putting these in and
hd in the 5 2 5 bay and taking out the floppy and hdd bays here
also theres a stop the noise pack with hd grommets fan mounts here which ive purchased will post pics later tonight.
Loudest thing in mine is the old thermaltake volcano lol

Havent really tried the fan grommets im sure every bit will help, but one thing ive noticed is that the eclipse front panel is nasty as in it creates a vacum tunnel hum for the front 120mm fan.

If u ditch the Front panel case u will see and hear exactly what im on about. Theres no way to reduce this annoying and loud hum and im using accoustic dustproof 120mm fans set on lowest speed... well apart from removing the front!

This is exactly why im looking at a better designed case perhaps one with a proper well contructed front with air vent holes so its not blocking 90% air flow from the front to the hdds sadly cant see any decent cases yet well one that matches the size/ease/design of the eclipse62 !
there's no vaccum like hum on mine no idea what your on about.

did anyone ever find rubber grommets with screws for hard drives? The only ones ive been able to find are the ones included in the Nexus Anti-Vibration PC kit.

IMO the best thing to do is replace those grates, use some rubber gromets and get some foam for the side panels and interior.

My case is totally silent :D

until i turn it on (when it becomes a wind tunnel)

Hmm I get it... its pretty obvious also since my case and 120mm accoustic fans are silent can tell of the hum as soon as its on.... take off the front panel and its gone, I think its a natural thing anyhow. the fans sucking in air and theres a gap inbetween the fan and front panel.

That m store on the high street sell them
im not sure i can say that name cant be a competitor though
they're prices are a joke.I'm using my hd grommets for the dvd that makes a fair bit of noise and vibration. The hdd are going in the 5'25 bay on scythe anti vibration hd brackets.

oh right, well the case fans im using are mounted with the rubber mounts. I think the may culprit of noise on my case now is vibration of the panels and the hard drives.

The hdd grommets which are on the m store, are they likely to be any good? I can only imagine them to be a pain in the ass to install if 2 are used on each screw.

heres my attempt at bungee modding the hard drives in the eclipse, still needs a bit of work as im using cardboard to space the drives.
