I bought a couple of portions of Asda's Extra special prawn paella last week.
This was done with a paprika sauce, chorizo, prawns and various vegetables.
It was actually quite delicious, for a ready meal, and this has inspired me to have a go at making this myself.
Just wandering if anyone has made something similar?
Any recipe ideas or pointers most welcome.

Same minus the chorizo. I find it overpowers things. I put mushrooms in as well, but I *love* mushrooms.
The recipe was actually for ham but she substituted chorizo. We buy the chorizo that gives off less oil and isn't too overpowering, I think it's a cured smoked one rather than the more raw one that needs cooking.

I made a paella a couple of nights ago for the first time, didn't use a recipe nor google it, just knew that the main spices were, smoked paprika and some tumeric. Just fried some veg and lobbed in rice, spices and then poured some stock in, Like you would with a rissoto.

No meat or fish for this one (mrs's is a freak veggie)

Came out ok, was better than any premade one, but obviously if I followed a recipe it would be great. But all in all pretty easy to make I found.
