and also what particular part of the boot is it slow? Post? Splash Screen? Desktop?
I second this - if it's before login it could be a hardware problem, if it's after login it's probably just too many startup items.
Plus, 1 minute 47 seconds isn't that bad in the scheme of things.
Also in msconfig, under the 'boot' tab > 'advanced options' set the amount of processors to however many you have![]()
Does that mean processors or cores though ?
