How do I open a Dell Laptop Adapter?

We have a problem with the cable and would like to get it repaired, but to do so i need to get the adapter open, except there are no screws or anything.

Is there some cunning top secret way to get these things open, should i find a hammer?

Cheers

I don't think they're made to be repairable. You can pay through the nose and buy a new one from Dell. Alternitavely if you look around you should be able to find a much cheaper third party replacement.
I had the same problem with a Compaq one, got it apart but there was no way it would go back together and be safe to use. New Compaq one was about £48, managed to get one for about £20.

Dude, i live in Rwanda, spares are a problem, the cheapest replacement is around £80

There is no health and safety in this country, nothing - I mean NOTHING is safe in this here! Except walking around late at night, never felt safer strangely :p

We get power surges that blow things up and get electrocuted on a daily basis

I think im gonna have to force it open..... anyway, its me who will be using it ;)
