How do I overclock my Intel E4500 CPU

I have Intel E4500 2.2GHz CPU. My Motherboard is GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3R Version 2

I went into BIOS and fiddled around with my CPU Frequency and other stuff. It didn't show up as over-clocked to 2.8Ghz

Hi and welcome to the forums.

Have a read of this thread. I know it's for the E4300 but there are lots of good settings in there.

Remember that as you increase the fsb you are also increasing the memory speed so will have to keep altering the memory speed to stay within it's specs.

Where did you check the speed - use cpuz

Also check speedstep is turned off - once you have a stable overclock you can turn it back on again.
