How do I overclock?

I have an athlon II x2 255 clocked at 3.0Ghz and need a little more speed, but how do I do it, Overdrive does not work on my chipset and all the other programs are just no good.

How do I overclock via bios. I have a western digital bios and a Asus M4N68T-M LE V2 motherboard, and I have put overclock on 7% but see no difference.
I am on the stock cooler at the mo and have an arctic freezer 500w 18a 12V x3 psu.

I'm no AMD guru but if there's a BCLK or similar setting in your bios you should be able to get a bit more speed by adjusting this, don't go too high with voltages on auto though. I would suggest reading the stickies at the top of this forum and google "AMD overclocking guide" or something similar.
