i have:
biostar t-power mobo
hd4870 oc edition
e8400
2 samsung spinpoints 320gb

how do i raid 0,

on first boot do i just set to raid 0 in bios or do i have to more than that?

In bios set SATA configuration to RAID, then save and exit
it will reboot and on the screen after your POST you should have option to press Ctrl + I, this will then let you setup your RAID configuration

Setup RAID as an option in the BIOS and place your CD as first boot device, save and reboot, after the post screen screen you need to press CTRL + I to enter the RAID configuration utility - this shows for approx 5 seconds. When entered the the configuration utility you can setup the discs and which RAID option you want to use save and exit.
Insert the windows disc and reboot to install windows.

thanks so much

shall i set the second HDD to slave as i have two optical drives, or should i set an optical drive to slave? there are three SATA ports each with another one on top, the bottom ojne is labelled slave.

what does slave mean?

its not really relevant for RAID setups, its for old IDE set ups, if you have 2 optical drives and/or 2 HDD's the master is the first boot priority and the slave is the second, these are BIOS options nowadays anyway
