How do I remove flash completely from Windows 8

I've just installed it as a test (albeit a £25 one) on an Acer Revo before thinking about upgrading my desktop, and it is much quick than 7 was on the Revo.

However, I notice Flash is pre-installed, and I will not have Flash on any of my machines, the bug-ridden virus that it is.

Any ideas how I can remove it ? This will keep me on 7 (or a move to Linux) if it can't be solved.

I'm slowly working out the tiles (and deletion thereof) and the other 'quirks' that I can live with, but this needs to be fixed.

Thanks.

disable it yes, remove it no real easy way, sorry

Another reason why people shouldn't use IE10.

Chrome or Firefox is the way to go.

I've already removed (at least as much as I can) IE, and would only use firefox (or most likely waterfox these days).

I can't believe they force Flash on you (with known security issues) and no ability to remove it.

All the same - flash being forced, means no Windows 8.

Does Chrome not have flash integrated as well?

It does, but that's not always a positive. A few months ago it was a Flash issue that caused Chrome to be unable to show streamed Flash video (such as their own Youtube videos) for more than a few seconds before stopping, with no sound or with out of sync sound. It took a couple of updates before they fixed it completely.

Obviously with other browsers you could just install the previous version of Flash if yours had updated.
