Hi,

I absolutely HATE the new drivers. Now, I put these drivers on as a 1st install on vista (ie - no rollback option). Now, there is no `remove` option in Add/Remove, and after runnind Driversweeper, I try and install older drivers - they install despite warning me that `setup has found newer`, yet on restart the drivers remain uninstalled with no sound.

Any ideas?

Just install what ever x-fi drivers you want to it will uninstall the old ones before it installs the new.
Other than that remove the sound card from your pci slot reboot remove everything that way with driver sweeper and removing the hardware in device manager etc

That's because you have cleaned up the "Install Shield Folder", many App's in past years do not use the Windows installer so you need to keep the files to uninstall them.

The programs will disappear from Add/Remove if you delete them and your stuck.

Creative's App's go to their own personal folder " Creative Installation Information ".
