How do I remove nvidia junk?

I need to get rid of every file associated with nvidia graphics on a computer to attempt a clean install. Where will I find all the files? It's an XP machine by the way. Thanks.

1) Uninstall drivers through add remove ( nvidia display and physx )
2) Go into hardware manager if there is any nvidia graphics driver under display uninstall that
3) Download CCLEANER , untick any toolbar/browser options on install ! http://www.piriform.com/ and then use the registry cleaner option
4) Download DriverSweeper , untick any toolbar/browser options on install ! http://www.guru3d.com/category/driversweeper/ and tick Nvidia display , Nvidia Physx ( DO NOT CLICK NVIDIA CHIPSET ) , then clean
5) Reboot into safe mode ( F8 ) on boot up
6) CCLEANER ( Run CCLEANER , Registery Cleaner Option )
7) DRIVERSWEEPER ( Tick Nvidia Display , Nvidia Physx ONLY ) , Clean

This will uninstall ALL nvidia display files and physx , sure it's a little long winded but this will 100% clean out any file and it's something i used to do every single time until the 260's came about.

WARNING - DO NOT CLICK NVIDIA CHIPSET , When using driversweeper!. I have to mention this again because there have been some right idiots out there uninstalling the chipset drivers , then threatening the developer of the software when they hose their systems.

Hahaha thank you! I'm actually pretty savy when it comes to computers, I've just always steered towards using ATI. I use CCleaner on my personal machine but hadn't heard of driver sweeper. Thanks for you advice. If I can finally successfully install this ****** driver I will owe you big time. It's been a right nob. At the moment, Windows is forcing 4-bit graphics

Well it's been an hr , something went wrong lol

Just started working in this tiny little IT repair shop. I'm unfortunately constantly distracted by customers haha. Just about to reinstall the driver. There was a **** load of junk to get rid of .

I just installed the latest drivers. Still stuck in 4-bit, with ultra low resolution. Does anyone know how to fix this? I really don't want to have to phone Inno3D in CHINA to get support.

Tried. Got a message that went along the lines of Install "couldn't continue" due to devices undergoing un/installation.
Trying a reboot then pointing the card to the nvidia folder manually through device manager. If that fails, what do you reckon mate?

Inno 3D - Geforce GT240 - I'm shutting the shop now, so it's going to have to wait till Monday. If you have any ideas please post them so that I can look at this thread over the rest of the weekend and hopefully solve the issue on Monday morning. In the mean time, I'm going to go home with a pizza and enjoy my beautiful ATI card
