Your existing radio will most likely have 4 holes, two down each side, poke something snug fitting into all of these (bent wire coat hanger works well), then pull the radio out. Done.

Installing a new one is easy so long as you have the right vehicle to ISO converter cable.

Above are wrong. You have 2 small slots under the standard stereo. Its very likely that the 2 metal prongs you got with your new player will slide into these and it will then slide out.

If you look carefully you can see the small gaps. The prongs may need some serious wriggle to catch the clip on the cage holding the stereo in, but it ll come out :)

Thanks, I'll have a look.

I assume I can pick up an ISO convertor from Halfords?

Head unit should plug and play.

You can get face plate adaptors to make the dash more flush with the new head unit but they are optional and personally I think they make the HU stick out a bit too far.

I've just bought a new CD player for my car and I am intending to install it my self, I just have no idea how to remove the old radio. It's the Clarion one. (is it ok to ask this)?

Also is it easy to install a new CD player? I assume it is just a few plugs. This is the radio I bought, http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/...nt=&CarSelectorCatalogId=&CarSelectorGroupId=
I got it for £100 off ebay.

Let me go ask one of the chavs down our street.
They seem to be able to get most radios out of cars in just a few seconds...

306 doesn't need an ISO convertor, well mine didn't anyway, although you will need one if you want to carry on using the Steering wheel control stick thingy.

I'm pretty sure i just tugged my radio and it came right out, although mine wasn't the original (although it was a clarion 306 stock one still)

The fascia adaptor is pointless imho, i took mine back.

yeah, you will not need an ISO adapter, but if you want steering wheel controls ask yourself are they worth 30 quid? To me they are not :p SHould go in just fine. No need to get the surround facia like people have said, so save money their too.
