How do I remove the glue that sticks some letters and numbers on back of your car?

After doing a lot of hand car wash all the letters and numbers are gone but some terrible glue thing is left.

What should I use so I don’t destroy the paint.

Vinegar?

That's diluted, not raw.

What letters and numbers? I bet it was go faster stripes.
