How Do I Reset Windows 10 Password on Another Computer - No Disk

What is the easiest way to reset my sister's Windows 10 password on her laptop. There is only the one account and she does not have a reset disk. I see many free software programmes online, but tend not to trust them. Any help would be appreciated.

If it's a Microsoft account she can reset her password online, if it's a local account your pretty much stuffed these days. I've not come across one password remover that I used to use that now works with Windows 10.

I don't know if it is a local account or how to find out? It was installed from a USB rather than online so I think it must be a local account? I have tried http://www.lazesoft.com/ option which from reading another post appears to have worked for someone else on Windows 10. I have booted up from the start up disk I made and run the password reset programme which tells me the password has been reset to blank. When I reboot to normal mode it is still asking for a password and will not accept the blank. I have tried twice with the same result. Is the only option to reinstall Windows 10 and lose any data or are there any other suggestions? Has anyone else got the Lazesoft option to work on Windows 10?

Thanks for the reply but you are actually wrong! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0dfEd4HZyV4&t=5s This is brilliant with a few tweaks if you read the follow up replies. Shift+F10 does not work, but you can still get to a command prompt by reading the responses. You also need to do some tidying up not included in the video but covered in the responses.

Hope this helps others with the same problem.
