How do I resize a picture?

I have some high resolution pictures that I want to resize to fit on a printout that's 125mmx65mm.

Essentially I want to shrink the picture and crop it down to that size, Can I do this without photoshop? I am running osx.

Yes you can do that in PS

you could just post it here and someone will do it for you

I could, but its something I want to do semi regularly, so I'd rather learn something
