How do I sell my company name?

My understanding is that is irrelevant. The Companies House registration is for government administration and taxation purposes, it doesn't give intellectual property rights. That's why there's a separate Trademark Office.
Yeah, you can call your ltd company anything really, and then call the business itself something totally different, so I don't think there's any real value in a cool registered company name.

Correct. You can register any name you want and then on your paperwork / website just do Company Name Ltd Trading As Whatever Biz.

No one has shown an interest but if you don't ask you don't get.
I take it you have the corresponding domain name, if so you could list that with a domain seller and see if you get any bites. I'm guessing these days the important thing is the domain name, not the company name.

I'd imagine you can't just squat a company name.

if your not using in then you likely have no rights to sell anything.

Isn;t it normally a competitor who buys you out, and not for the name.

As above, just the Ltd company name alone does not have value, you need a Trademark, or a domain name, to be able to sell anything.
Exactly, as an example, Amazon aren't trading as 'Amazon Ltd' they are something like Amazon UK Services Ltd.

Since you don't have a Trademark then the company name is worthless, but you might be able to sell the domain name.
