How do I set the correct resolution?

Hi guys

Had a little project going today to put the main computer in with the 40" 1080p TV.

All gone well except for the maximum resolution I seem to be able to get from it is 1360x768 which seems rather odd and rather fustrating when trying to play blu-ray discs etc.

The TV is a Sony W2000, with a signal coming from an Nvidia 8800GTX, does anyone have any idea how I can get it up to 1920x1080?

After reading your post alex, I double checked the TV manual and as it turns out the maximum resolution it could display is 1360x768 over VGA, which I was a bit surprised about.

So I went out today and picked up a DVI-HDMI covertor and it works great, currently using the screen in 1920x1080 and it's fantastic.
