hi just got one of these routers fter my d-link went down how do i set tbhis netgear up it says i have to pulg a wire in from the pc to the router cqn this be right it wireless? all so the sinal is saying very low and its right next to the pc could it be faulty im useing a d-link 108 pci card in the pc

yes its right,
There should be a cable in the box , you need to set up the network via ethernet first , then you can set the wireless part of the network up via its own webpage interface .
also you will prolly get a better signal if you use the same make of wireless cards as the router . as its still draft-n they dont seem to well if you mix amd match different brands

Using Atheros and Broadcom chipsets probably won't give the best performance... And yeh, as said N swamps the spectrum so for now you might want to set it to just G, untill you get N adapters.
