How do I set up FTP

Hiya Folks

I need to set something up so my office and I can share/send some files that are to big to Email.

My webserver comes with FTP so I thought it would be easier to use that.

So I have set up a FTP Account and I can access it via Cpanel FTP file manager

I have installed Filezilla
Under site manager I have my FTP site listed and a username and password set up.

What do i need to do now.

I need to be able to place a large file "Somewhere on the net" so that admin in my office can download it, Update it and put it back where I can then download it.

Am I just getting confused and there is a much easier way to sort this.
If Its easy then I'll persevere but I'm going to have to give email instructions to someone who is even less techy than myself to set up at theyre end

Launch your ftp client, input hostname, username and password and your set.

What sort of file size are we talking here?

I think it 20Mb+. The office can't email it even if Zipped.

What is my hostname?? FTP@*****.co.uk 99%

Ok I can connect to the server

Filezilla shows me my PC drives and remote sites ( it displays a folder icon but nothing else)

Mediafire.com - it's simple to use.

Depending on how its set up you might only have the 1 folder available. Give it a go from another client after you upload.
