How do I setup a custom 1440p res in CCC

As in the title

I use a dell 3011 monitor @1600p but need to run it at 1440p for benchmarks. It is easy enough to do with my NVidia cards and NV control panel. Is there an easy way to do it in CCC for my AMD cards as I want to go Titan bashing in the near future.

I get the same thing with NCP, there is no option for 1440p but it allows me to create a custom resolution.

Just gave the above a go, unfortunately it only allows me to set a custom resolution smaller than 1080p.

These Dell monitors are rubbish.

is it with a clean driver install? I sometimes get resolution options greyed out unless I uninstall using display driver uninstaller and do fresh driver install,then it lets me adjust things

I think the problem is HDTV only goes up to 1080i so CCC won't let me set a higher resolution, only a lower one.

I also think part of the problem is my monitor as I have always had a problem running 1440p whether I am using NV or AMD. Even if a program like Heaven 4 offers an option to run 1440p, once the program or game starts it will default back to 1600p. I don't have this problem with any other resolution only 1440p.

With NCP I can make a custom 1440p resolution and then it is available to set in windows which in turn allows me to set and run it in the program or game I am running.

I don't think the fault is with CCC, I think it is one of those quirky Dell things.

The only way to do this is with a registry hack (which you will lose every time you update your drivers).

Perhaps AMD should spend less time making silly twitter posts and more time fixing their control panel to add basic functionality the competition has had for years.

Thanks, at least that clears up the mystery.

Fortunately I am quite happy to use 1600p for normal use, it is only for benchmarks that 1440p would have been useful.

Yes, that's why I thought it strange that I could not do the same with CCC.

No

I don't get the option to do it in Windows until I have setup a custom resolution in NCP.
