How do I setup Lip SYNC?

Hello all.

This is beginning to do my head in, I never seem to be able to get the lip sync just right on my TV with my AV Reciever.

Would be easy if I could listen to the audio through the TV and amp at the same time cause I could put both on and adjust till it doesn't echo right?

Problem is my amp will only let you select to pass audio and video through direct with no processing or process the audio which strips it before it gets to the TV.

I only need to setup two things, SKY HD and my HTPC, I must have spent ages sitting staring at lips trying to sync the audio but I never seem to get it bang on without the above method Doesn't seem to be a sky test card airing at anytime anymore so can't use that and with the PC I don't know what to do.

Anyone got an idea of what I can do?

Sometimes sky lip sync is just plain awful. Even skybox direct to tv.

Yeah I know, some channels are worse affected but would like to at least normalize with a test card.

I use the HTPC far more anyway, I was hoping there was some sort of DTS MKV test card I could use, that would work sweet.
