A few weeks ago I came here for upgrade advice and ended up buying a new graphics card from OCUK to enable me to render 4K videos. Old card was a 970 Strix, the new one is an RTX 3060. The card itself has been great, it cut rendering times down by about 90%, which was insane and amazing, but it has had some unintended side effects and it's ruining my happiness.
I run a dual monitor setup, a 55" LG 4K TV as the main and a 24" Philips 1080p monitor as the secondary.
Every time the PC goes to sleep or if I switch the main TV screen off, all the windows move to the main monitor, even though it's off, and the icons on the taskbar of the second monitor all disappear, even though Windows is set to display icons on both taskbars, so when I switch the main monitor back on, I have to start rearranging all the windows and disable and reenable the taskbar icons.
This was never an issue with the 970. I'm still using all the same cables etc from before, the only thing that has changed is the card.
How can I disable whatever "feature" is detecting the monitor being switched off? I've uninstalled and reinstalled the Nvidia drivers until I'm blue in the face. I don't even know if the problem is in Windows 10 or Nvidia.
Also, I don't know if it's related but the screen will occasionally and momentarily flash white. Sometimes it might happen every few minutes when watching youtube or it might not happen for an hour, but it always happens eventually and it really shouldn't, again, never had this problem with the old card.
Thanks in advance.
