How do i stop my beard itching?!

Im growing a bit of a beard and i quite like it, nothing too bad, bit whispy i guess (but better than a teenage effort)

However it gets to a certain length (which its at now), and it itches like hell. I can see redness underneath it and its bloody annoying.

I like the beard, but not the itch.

Any tips on stopping this?

Thats where im going wrong. Last time i washed was on christmas morning, so i smelt nice in my new pyjamas

Yes... ive shaved that region before.. itches worse than anything in the damn world
