how do i stop steam desktop spam?

If you read the thread again you'll find the usual two culprits, Bill and Ben, the Steam hammer legion members, were the ones to start derailing.

Makes mental note to one's self: Never say anything that might seem negative towards Steam when Bill and Ben the two flowery men are around.

wow, this arguement happend over changing settings to stop a small advert. Sometimes I get so annoyed when it pops up that i click the little cross to close it, how dare they show me deals and pre order and wasting around 10 seconds of my life!! ragin!!!! aaaaggghhhhh
