How do I take advantage of auto-bracket?

Hi, (first post in this particular forum), my Panasonic FZ5 has a feature called auto-bracket which takes a pic 3 times in succession, each at different exposures. What do I do with this feature? Anything special? My manual is anotha city, thought I'd ask? Thanks

HDR? O Rly? I could use HDR in my CAD work but I was assuming that was done using a stanless steel sphere and taking photos at about 10 different exposures. I got HDRshop on my comp, I'll give it a shot and try lighting something in 3dsmax. Cheers.
