How do I tell my laptop to use less memory to GFX

Hi,

This might not help, but if it is one of the fairly recent Intel shared memory graphics chipsets then they automatically take memory when needed and free it up again afterwards. That way, the operating system has as much as it can all of the time.

Hope this helps,

Martin

As My GFX is shared memory someone was saying I could assign more to windows than the GFX how do I do this?

If you can change it you'll either have an option in the advanced graphics properties or in the laptop BIOS.

As said above, newer PCI-E bus based integrated graphics usually do it automatically.
