How do I tell the stepping on a Q9550?

Without using it! Its brand new and I intend to keep it that way, but it would be easier to sell if I knew this

The s-spec on the box or on the chip will be SLB8V for an E0 stepping

I know we all call things like E0 a stepping but is that correct?

According to CPU-z the E0 bit is classed as a Revision, it then goes on to list the stepping as A

C0 = old revision E0 = new revision? Who knows what the stepping could actually be
