How do I tell whether my pc is running @ USB 2 ?

Is there a way to tell whether the machine you are using has the usb 2 host controllers installed in it?
I read somewhere that all windows xp sp1 & above already had this incorporated along with the .net aswell.

Just a thought ?

Have a looksy in Device Manager at the controllers, if it has the word Enhanced, then it is 2.0.

if the pc has usb2 controllers, they should show up as enhanced in device manager (one will) as said above

Just had a look in my control panel. it does not say enhanced but the motherboard is a DS3-P35 chipset so I am sure it is USB 2.0. I'm running Vista 64bit

The last two entries say enhanced but the first six don't

Have you grabbed the latest chipset drivers from your mobo manufacturer ?

yes, I checked about a week ago.
The strange thing is when I plug a USB 2 device in it does not tell me that this device can run faster so I think all is well

not all of them do, look at bledd.'s reply above. so long as at least one shows as enhanced then it's fine.
