How do I tidy up my cables?

I find a combination of small cable ties and little stick on loops (the cable ties go through them and hold the wires to the case) is the best.

Also you need to think ahead with your routing. If your cables are long enough and you have space behind the mobo then route as many as you can behind there out of sight.

I have never bothered to do cable tidying in my last two builds but this time I did. It took me about 2-3 hours to complete (I know I am slow but I do have a lot of internal components) but well worth it in the end. Even ignoring looks (windowless case) it makes for so much better air flow and makes it so much easier to work on when swapping components out.

buy a realllllll big box/bag of cable ties (small and medium) and some "stick on loops" as mention'd above.

id start by unplugging every single cable and shifting the ones you can out the way or just dangle them around the side and out of the case. then start thinking of ways to route the cables as neet as possible, so if you have 2 cables that are going from the power supply to roughly the same place, cable tie them together a few times to keep em tight n close together. do it to all the cables u can. also as said above if you have the room then route behind the motherboard tray or you could put some behind the hard drive cage out of sight.

jus keep everything to the side and have nothing going across the motherboard (fan connectors etc etc) unless you really need to.

*edit* also i would put the fans on the top of the case to exaust air, not intake (unless you have tried both and intake turned out better)

The reason the top fan is set to blow air in is because the cpu takes in air where that one blows in, and then the rear fan blows the cpu air out of the case, I haven't tried the top fan blowing out yet though.

Just noticed

:D

Heres a pic of mine (not the tidiest but a damn sight better than it was), just unplug everything and think of how you can route the cables "out the way", behind stuff and get them lashed together where possible and against the case to hold them out the way - GL !
