How do I use a wireless router as a switch?

Hi guys,

Thought this would be pretty straightforward but alas not. Just replaced my Speedtouch 580i with a Netgear DG834. Great.

I'd like to use the Speedtouch as a switch - with an ethernet cable running from the Netgear to the Speedtouch, and then 3 machines plugged into the Speedtouch.

Is this possible, and if so, how do I set it up as simply connecting it up that way and turning off the DHCP server on the Speedtouch didnt seem to work!

Thanks.

It should work, Just make sure all of the cables are plugged into the LAN ports on the Speedtouch, nothing should be connected to its WAN port. With DHCP disabled all devices should use the new router as the gateway, and the speedtouch should be assigned an IP address from the netgear router.
