How do I view FLV files?

I've been sent some video files to review before they're published onto our web site. The format is FLV (as requested by our web design team).

How can I view these? I thought they'd open locally in Flash Player but they don't.

I embedded them into an HTML file on a web server using Dreamweaver CS3 (which generates the supporting JS file) but to no avail - web page just shows as blank - not even a place holder where the object should be!

Any ideas? Thanks.

VLC will play them.

k-lite codec allows me to play them in wmp11 or media player classic.

Sothink FLV player, it's free. VLC isn't the most stable at playing them I find.

Thanks for the tip - Sothink FLV works perfectly. Only just got round to downloading it.
