Am looking at making a watercooling system with a 120.3 or 120.4 rad where there maybe 6 or 8 fans in a push & pull setup....

What the best way to wire these fans up so i can control there speed ???

Plus there going be another 3 120mm fans for case cooling...

You will need to check how much power they pull and buy a decent fancontroller to match. You can splice two fans onto one channel if it can take the load giving you control over 4x2 sets of fans(assuming it has four separate channels).

Hi w3bbo

I been looking at reviews of quiet a few fan controllers and most of them only seem to support up to about 10watts a channel..

Sunbeam Rheostat

Power : 20 watt per channel
Input voltage : DC 12V
Output voltage: 0 ~ 12 V
Output current: up to 1.67 A
Dimensions: 148.5x 105x 42 mm
Weight (Net) : 184

One of the cheapest aswell ;)

Thanks...It looks like i can run up to 4 Yate Loon 120mm fans off one channel..(4x 0.30A = 1.20A)

Yate Loon 120x120x25 D12SL-12
Model: D12SL-12
Dimensions:120x120x25mm
Rated Voltage: 12 Volts
Operation Voltage: 6.5~13.8 Volts
Input current: 0.30 Amp Max
Operation temperature: -10 to +65 C
Storage temperature: -40 to +70 C
RPM: 1350 +/- 10%
CFM: 47
dB: 28

While searching for that Sunbeam Rheostat

I found this

powerblock.jpg

MultiPort PowerBlock
Power distribution block, uses a single 3.5" or 5.25" molex connector, with pass thru, and distributes this power to 4x 5v 3pin fan connectors, 4x 7v connectors, and 4x 12v connectors.
