How do PS3 trophies work ?

I'm trying to get my head round this or to wonder if something has gone a bit screwy with me PS3 (that I just got)

When I look in the trophy section in the XMB, it is empty.
Nothing there at all.
Zilch !!

Yet I have PixelJunk Eden installed and have played it and have a save file and everything.

Sooooo..... should there be something in my trophy section or does the list only appear once you have achieved your first trophy (which would be stupid)

I have 2.4.2 firmware too.

So until you fluke your first trophy, there is no way of checking a list to see what you have to do to achieve trophies ??

Or even if the game supports trophies !?!?

You could look at a friends list. Or look on a website like PS3T.

You'd imagine you wouldn't have to look anywhere other than the trophy section on your PS3 to find out about trophies on your PS3

Oh well.... fingers crossed for better future firmware updates.

go to trophy collection in the game section of xmb and it will show them for games you have

i seen all the trophies and what you need to do to get them for sshd and uncharted
try compare trophies with a friend see if it shows?
