Whats the difference between an ASUS (say GT 430) and a PNY GT 430?

I dont know much about graphics cards, not being a gamer. However im interested in the number of cores available for CUDA.

EDIT: Ive seen for the GT 430s the core frequencies dont differ much between manufacturer, but the GTS 450s do.

What would i be focussing on for CUDA development? Number of cores, core frequency? What about DRAM?

I'm no expert on CUDA, so I'll leave that to someone else.

The reason for the different clocks on the GTS450 is some come factory overclocked. That is, where the clock speed is raised and saved to the card's BIOS.

Nvidia cards have CUDA cores. I assume the more cores the better? Again I'm not sure at all about this.

Yeh im guessing more cores will help with more parallelisation and a higher clock count.

Do you know about the memory on graphics cards, how is this used?
