How do you approach a shop where you want to ask for work?

Hello,

I'm basicly looking to get a job, I've got my CV ready etc and know how to write a proper letter, how do you however, just ask properly, in a random shop you would like to work at, if they got a job ? In a way that if they can use somebody, they'll try to find out more about you instead of turning you down?

Tbh I think I'll have no problems actually following orders, I absolutely hate taking the first step though, what's the first step of trying to get a job in a few preffered places ( eg, I wana ask around a few nearby places first persoanlly if they need people before looking for adverts that some company needs people ) ?

I want to get a job quickly tbh now that there's a massive shortage of cheap young labourers like me around here, easier imo to get accepted to a job.

Any hints?
