how do you Assign a Song as a rington on IPHONE??

From the sticky up top:

How To: Create Custom Ringtones

*Credit to EVH for this guide :)

For OS X and Windows.

  1. Cut your selected song to a 40 second clip (or less) using Quicktime, Garageband, or any audio editor of your choice

  2. Save as xxx.mp3

  3. Import xxx.mp3 in to iTunes

  4. Change your iTunes preferences so that your "import" settings are now set to AAC

  5. Find and right-click the xxx.mp3 you just added; choose "Convert selection to AAC"

  6. Now go open Finder and navigate to the AAC file you just made (it will be called xxx.m4a)

  7. Rename file from xxx.m4a to xxx.m4r

  8. lick confirm when a dialog box pops up warning about changing file extensions

  9. Drag the .m4r file out of the iTunes folder and on to the desktop

  10. Double click the file on the desktop and BOOM, a new ringtone appears in iTunes. Sync iPhone to add it.
