Howdy,

I've searched the forum for an answer to this and cannot fiind it, so I am assuming this is a stupid question, but I want to see what my temps are of my GPU whilst Im playing a game... obviously to test it at load... but how would you do this?

Playing the game, then exiting and quickly trying to look at your temp isn't good enough cos my temps drop quite quickly?

Anyone tell me how to do this please? I wanna know if my 8800GTX is burning up?

Yeah but I mean checking it on load? Using the nvidia monitor I can check that in game... and playing the game and quiting out and quickly looking isn't good enough cos the temp drops before I can get there.

I've used ATItool before, but I didnt consider that cos its only a small window it uses for that 3d view... but I am running it now and Im areaching 77c max... seems quite high?

When you say check the logs? The logs of what? Sorry!

I use Rivatuner's 'Hardware Monitoring' to monitor my GPU temps. There's a graph that shows the temps over the past 5 or 6 minutes, so you can see how the temps vary between standing still and heavy gun battles, etc.

alt and tab between your temp monitor and the game?

stalker and oblivion dont allow me to alt-tab in game... and they are the only games i have installed :D

I can Alt-Tab in and out of Stalker fine on XP. :)

Btw 77 is perfectly fine if thats underload, infact more than fine id have thought, high 80's is normal for the GTX's i think.

Here's what rivatuner looks like. I set the fan speed to 90% so you can see the temps dropping (it updates every second for accurate monitoring)
