How do you choose your intel cpu?

Ryzen 1600 is the best value CPU I've laid my hands on in yonks. The Mrs has one in her PC and even gimping it with 2133mhz ram it's multicore scores match or beat my 7700k at 5.2 which is delidded and on a high end 240mm aio... The 1600 is on a stock cooler.. :p

As if on queue....Hello Gavin. Wouldn't be a cpu thread on OCUK forums, without you slagging off AMD. Why do you despise AMD that much? Genuine question. Saying you've had an AMD cpu before, doesn't cut it for your hatred of AMD. What's with the bad feels?

We need AMD to be strong to make sure Intel don't bend us over a barrel and charge £500 for a hex core cpu. OP might be asking about INTEL cpus in his post but its worth mentioning other options if he wasn't too sure about them, to give him a varied outlook. 300 posts is still fairly new on here.

You are a little late to this party. I don't despise AMD, I have a 1700 and a 1300x myself.
I despise the fanboys, making out that ryzen is better than it actually is.
 
I'm not late to anything, I said in my post, claiming you had AMD hardware doesn't paper over the hatred you have for AMD. It's palpable in your posts.

Would photos help? Guess what? I also have a 7970! OMG!
I guess some people will just settle for less, those chose AMD. Both CPU and GPU are behind in the gaming space.

I can see a piece of paper taped above your desk with two cardinal rules on it:

1) Everyone only uses their PC for games
2) Cost is irrelevant

No... yes your hate for AMD is pretty palpable Gavin, one can smell the rage you feel whenever you put fingers to keys in threads like this, its bizarre and no one can understand it.
 
AMD force assemble!
There is no rage nor hatred here. Some people want the very best. End of, those that don't go to AMD.
