How do you correctly setup LG C1 for 120FPS & DTS/HD / Atmos Audio ?

I'm having some real issues working out getting this all to work correctly ! I can only currently get it working one way or the other but not all working together as it should.

To get 120fps I have to run a HDMI cable direct from PC to TV only ( Connection to Denon Receiver 3300 does not work and doesn't let you select 120fps ) So I have my PC- HDMI connected in to TV Direct to get 4k 120fps.

This is Good and Atmos surround tracks work as they should when playing MKV Files in VLC Player ! My problem is HD/DTS Master Audio track do not work and only output Stereo.

How do I go about getting my PC to play HD/DTS Master Audio tracks ? Is there away and I get my Receiver to play sound ? this is my problem and I cant work out what I need to be doing , currently looks like the sound is going through the TV / Arc but it will only play Atmos tracks and not HD DTS master Audio ones ? How do I get around this problem ?

My head is saying run another HDMI cable from Graphics card PC but there is only 1 x on my 3080 ! and then selecting sound but that isnt any option...

Currently as it stands the only way I can get all the sound formats to work direct from PC is to run a HDMI cable to my Denon Receiver but by doing this you don't get 120FPS :(

Any ideas guys ?

The LG C1 doesn't support DTS codecs which is why you get stereo. Some devices can convert it to multichannel PCM 5.1/7.1 but I'm not sure if the Denon can. Someone else might be able to answer. But directly in you won't get anything out of the TV.

I'm thinking maybe try a splitter ? As all the sound formats work but only if you send the HDMI direct from PC - Denon 3300 Receiver , but it doesnt give you 120fps but then movies are not played that fast anyway so not a problem, its just a pain because as it currently stands If I want to watch HD/Master Audio track I have to disconnect my HDMI lead from Tv and plug in to the Receiver.

Or buy a new Receiver that will pass through 120fps ?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the Denon 3300 doesn't support 120hz and only does 60hz, but sure someone else can actually confirm. Just remember seeing it on avforums once but may not be exact model.

Yeah play a DTS track and it should get converted to PCM if you are using the earc port. Won't actually be DTS itself as TV doesn't support it.

I can't double check at the moment but I'm pretty sure my LGB9 passes through DTS / HD-DTS and DTS-X over eARC to my Denon 2700H
(I may well be mistaken as I used to have the Shield directly into the Denon but recently changed it, will confirm later)

Nvidia Shield > LGB9 > Denon 2700H (eARC)

Edit, just checked and I get DTS and DTS-X passed via the LGB9 as above

I didn't know that cheers for the info (often wondered why I had no DTS issues!)
Cx iirc. I think the c9 does. Fwiw I've got a c9 and a 2200 amp, and that works fine at 1080p/120 hz. I'm going into the amp then from amp to tv, what's it show in the Nvidia control panel?

I have a PC with a 3060Ti running Windows 11, according to windows its
4k, HDR at 120Hz, thats GPU direct to my B9.

Also an Nvidia Shield 2019, via my 2700 AMP thats 4K Atmos Dolby Vision, 60Hz, dont thimk the Shield does 120Hz.

Hope that helps...

As other's said, DTS will not passthrough on that model as support was removed. It will work on B9 and C9 fine, its models after that which lose it including newer B series models, not just C series.

In regards to your setup, you could try a DP to HDMI cable from GPU to AVR and a HDMI 2.1 cable direct from GPU to TV for Video. You would create a phantom monitor representing the AVR and can then select it in the sound menu fine. What I do on one of my setups, separate cable to carry audio and video, though opposite way around (DP for video and HDMI for Audio). The GPU to TV connection would let you run the 120hz, VRR etc as I do not think there are any splitters yet that will split the audio and video and still passthrough VRR, 120hz, HDR etc unless mistaken.
