How do you deal with Drunks or idiots ?

Well today was a bit of a blurry day i was just approached by my drunken next door neighbor, who i have known for 17 years and NEVER had any cross words with. we have been good neighbors.

but he approached me after i said alright, he came straight towards me and he was about 2 inches away from me, i said ''wo why are you so close'', he just started going on ''**** sake id ***** kill you if it wouldn't get me in trouble'' im like :eek: WoW!, then he was still going on ''Id ****** smash your face in rite now yano'' clenching his fists at the same time. and i said ''WTF have i ever done to you ???!?!??'' he said ''nothing its just i want to kill you!'' i was still like :eek::eek::eek: a big WTF MATE!, my 2 friends were looking mega gob smacked. he eventually walked away and i rang the police. and this was only 20minutes ago.

and this gentlemen is in his 30s with a wife and kids, and as i said never had any trouble EVER,

the policeman had a word, before hand he didnt believe a word i was syaing as i am a kid on the corner of the streets yano ;) :p, but when he came back after speaking he looked a little more serious, he said ''ok i had a word, he confessed and told me that he said things he shouldnt of said'', and he has nothing against yeh i just looked at my friends and said a big ''OK'' he then as the policeman left walked to my grandparents and apologized to them , about me :confused:, i didnt know he was drunk until my nan said to me did you smell the drink and i was like, ahhh drink ;), explains it.

but rite form the first word i was absolutely shocked and gobsmacked.

brings me to this thread...

have you ever been as they say ''Started on'' by a drunk or a idiot ? and what did you do ?

It shows what effect alcohol can put on people. I was on the train on Saturday in Central London, had 3 blokes talking behind me, they were all friendly and stuff (they were all strangers who just met on the train apparently) then all of sudden, as the train approaches the station (i was getting off) suddenly 1 of the dude went total nuts at the other 1 and nearly smacked his face in, for no apparent reason. And of course they were all a bit drunk.
 
i have been started on by drunken idiots more times than i can remember, groups of chavs that have had half a can of strongbow and are out well past their bed time useally
