how do you delete startup files?

hi everyone i have a strange question when u go into msconfig then start up there is a list of programs that start up with windows i no how to disable then but can u delete the files that are there? its just i had a very strange file in the called hagfb.exe i googled it and not a single page came up dont have a clue what it is any ideas to this?

You can delete these entries from within the following registry locations:

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared Tools\MSConfig\startupreg
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared Tools\MSConfig\startupfolder

Goto "Start">"Run">Type "regedit" and press "OK" to load the registry editor. I hope that helps

EDIT: I've just noticed not all startup entries appear in those registry keys. However, I've found some software that will clean up the MSCONFIG list.

ok mate thanks for that i just want to delete all these files in the list that i dont use could not see all of them in regedit though

Then just search for the filename and press delete.

i done it now that program you gave me was a peach mate all gone now!

1 last thing im getting annoyed with quick time i disable it in msconfig and it still starts up everytime is there a way to get this dam program to stop starting up with windows?
