When you see snapshots from a movie clip and it has words or other things on it, which programs are used ?
 
PrtSc + Paint?

you use a video player (windows media player, vlc etc) to play the scene you want.
use the print screen button to get the video into a still image
use paint, adobe photoshop etc to edit that image.
 
With respect to Cameron (C4's **** take), I only understood what they guy said because I'm from round SE London and used to that sort of accent. I wouldn't expect anyone else to be able to understand that.

You can't printscreen Media Player unless you change one of the settings.

Tools > Options > Performance Tab > Advanced > Uncheck 'Use Overlays' > done!
 
ALT + PrtScn gives you a snapshot of the current open window then paste into your application.

I just use the snapshot function in PowerDVD.
