How do you do your shopping?

Do you plan ahead for a week on what meals you will have on each night?

Or do you just buy randomly whatever takes your fancy?

Genuinely interested because the woman just buys random stuff which most of ends up getting thrown away.

Hmm, some very interesting replies in here so far.

My Mum has given me the task of doing the weeks shopping to see if I can save money and throw less food away at the end of it, whilst getting in a proper meal each night.
