How do you fall asleep?

Have a cheese butty before you hit the sack. Works a treat for me. :)

Nightmares! I have some pretty wacky dreams at the best of times, let alone fuelling them with dairy products. Mentalist! :D

Knocking one out for the win, or if she's been moaning about "it" - knocking the bird out (figuratively speaking, not literally) for the win. She'd murder me if she called the love dance "knocking her out" hehe.
 
After reading a book on meditation I kind of adapted the technique and I can pretty much drop off at will within 5 minutes!

I'm about to go out now but I'll come back and post to explain.
 
Meditation is really good, a lot of the times when my mind is really active i use that to nod off to sleep quite quickly. But some times i get hit with sleep paralysis and the mind just goes wild with that :) i know its gonna be an interesting night trying to sleep if i get that because it usually repeats 3 or 4 times before i can properly sleep(not that i mind now, first time was proper scary).
 
I listen to the radio whilst in bed, which I find helps. I tend to fall asleep within 10mins of going to bed.

Watching TV or playing games will keep your brain too active/stimulated, so will be difficult to fall asleep.
 
if you have difficulty sleeping like real insomnia get a prescription for zopiclone and/or lorazepam IMO.
 
Knocking one out is the unbeatable method. Particularly if you have to use a lot of energy during it.

Milky drinks will help aswell. (preferably before the first suggestion!)
 
I usually sleep to the soft murmur of BBC News 24 - also good to wake up to as well.

If I really can't sleep then I find reading a few chapters of a good book can help :)
