It seems so annoying cos they sell out within minutes anyways so you need to know it with uber precision really.
Most of the times, i hear about this when its too late really, This has really put me off all rock bands recently cos its so much effort to get the tickets.

Is there like one website which says when the tickets go on sale and where or is his insider knowledge?

thanks a lot

a lot comes from bands mailing lists, or ticket sales mailing lists, knowing about gigs before tickets go on sale also helps
there's no quick fix, it's just a matter of keeping upto date in different areas
personally speaking here's normally a good source for things like this, but i wouldnt rely on it, i'm signed up to ticketline, cclive, ticketline as well as plenty of bands mailing lists, i also have contacts at ticketmaster/line and several promotions companies, but they're more as a result of my position at uni

Mailing lists is one way. I also just regularly check www.seetickets.com in their latest tours section. And plus I read so many different music sites, chances are I'll find out when a tour is announced anyways.

You do usually get plenty of notice before tickets go on sale - well when I say "plenty of time" I've always had at least a week to prepare when tickets have gone on sale for somebody I want to see.

If the band are big then just make sure you are well prepared and make sure you take multiple routes to your tickets to avoid disapointment.
Even in this day and age web sites fall over - both sites I use for future show information and ticket purchases fell over within minutes of Robbie tickets going on sale last year and with the phones being as bad as they were we missed out.

ticketmaster.co.uk is another good site to look at.
