how do you get the connecters out of a 24 pin ??

hi there,
im braiding atm and i have the sunbeam modding kit but the ttool designed for getting them out doesnt see to work ??
any ideas of how to ddo it ?

Link to the tool you're using?

You should just push the tool into the pin and pull the other side.

I got a kit from MDPC and it worked a charm

click thats the one ive got, the other ones work well but the 24pin one seems very tight and the connector wont pull out ???

There are 2 stages to pushing it in, you sure its in far enough?

You should have an easy push in then a slightly hard push which is when the clips are force in.

Some of the pins can be a PITA though

Failing that, for my 8pin I had to cut it all open and use a replacement connector found here

yes i guess i could do that...i guess ocz make there psu's bullet/modding proof

i would then get worried incase i put them in the wrong order :S

thanks a lot, ill leave if unbraided so i can build my rig but after that i can whip it out to do it because from talking to you it seems i may need to cut it off, thanks a lot

You are not kidding - having the same problem tryin to do my 8 pin connectors. They jusy will not budge - may have to cut the connector off and replace it. I have a Silverstone Psu - seems like Silverstone do not wan't theirs to come out either.
