Hi guys,

How DO you do this?! I bought a headphone splitter but when I used it with my headphones and speakers I loose all differentiations (sorry, sp) between left and right channels in my HD555's. I have had to remove the splitter to get definitive left/right sounds, vital for when I play games at competitive level.

Thanks!

Depends what sound card you have. With an X-Fi by default the speakers are muted when you plug in headphones, but you can set it not to if you wish :)

OT : Did you ever get your cash back of barry?

Hi Meatloaf, thanks for the help, I have plugged the speakers into the centre outputs so I can toggle between headphones and speakers if I wish, so I guess I answered my question.

No I didn't get the money back directly from Barry, however the credit card company did manage to refund us the money. Shame he got away with it tbh...

Sounds like your splitter that you're using's a bit dodgy? So long as you switch off your speakers when your headphones are in?!

I have a front bay for my headphones. Sort of a waste to justify getting a Fata1ty in that way but a front bay is a necessity for me.

You can get cheaper ones that plug into your motherboard I think..

Why do you want speakers + phones at the same time?

This is what i do. It also means i can have my headphones on with just my subwoofer; although it almost defeats the purpose of headphones, in my case, it sounds neat in games.

buying a more expensive splitter is the best idea ;)

I've got two gold plated splitters plugged into my soundcard 9oe plugged into the other and that splits the sound 3 ways, one goes to my mixer, one goes to my headphones and one goes to the speakers on my monitor. All sound mint and have full stereo sound. :D
