How Do you Haggle With Dell?

Hey guys, I'm at that point where I will be ordering my new baby, a Dell XPS m1530 ... however I'm a little ticked at the fact there's no Penryn, or any CPUs higher then 2 GHz.

So I need a little help my budget is 780-800 tops, if I want a better CPU can i haggle with them somehow? If so do I do it over the phone or ...?

Also I'm a student any bonuses for us? Any coupons? A little here guys, THANKS.

My friend managed to get some freebies from them when ordering over the phone, not sure about getting a better CPU out of them though.

Cool, maybe I'll order over the phone then, do they offer everything though as they do on the site? What the ETA on the XPS m1530?

Yup, they throw the free stuff at you first... Call up Inquiring about something on the system your interested in, like the cpu options (don't sound too keen to buy).

Free bag/virus protection (1 year I think).
Then some ££, I think this depends on what your ordering/if it's got cash off first and even then seems random as to what they'll go to.

They would only knock £10 off mine, but thats better than nothing.. and I hear some people have really done well.

You might be better off using (never tried it myself) a 10% off code, you can find by googling, and save the nightmare of speaking to the Indian call center.
